The National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) is a professional bar association founded in 1958.
NACDL’s mission is to ensure justice and due process for persons accused of crime, foster the integrity, independence and expertise of the criminal defense profession and promote the proper and fair administration of criminal justice.
NACDL members receive a legal journal called “the champion” containing strategies and case winning tips written by and for criminal defense attorneys. Online member-only benefits include one general and a number of specialized listservs, covering topics related to DUI, forensics, eyewitness and white collar crime. Members can stay up-to-date with breaking criminal defense related news, and have free access to NACDL’s briefs and motions Bank. NACDL members will be listed in its public “Find a Lawyer” directory. Networking with other criminal defense attorneys is made easy through NACDL’s seminars held eight times a year and through participation on NACDL’s standing committees. Affinity agreements are in place with many companies and NACDL members get the lowest rates on their products.
