The National Crime Victim Bar Association (NCVBA) is a non-profit organization. It is an affiliate and program of the National Center for Victims of Crime. NCVBA is a testament to the National Center for Victims of Crime’s long-standing commitment to civil justice for victims. Crime victims deserve compensation for the harms they have suffered.
The NCVBA was founded in April 1999. It is the nation’s first professional association of attorneys and expert witnesses dedicated to helping victims seek justice through the civil system.
The goal of NCVBA is to educate and support attorneys and others who work with crime victims about advanced legal issues and proven litigation strategies.
Technical support is provided by the NCVBA to attorneys representing crime victims in civil actions. It refers crime victims to lawyers in their local area, and works to increase general awareness about the availability of civil remedies for victims of crime.
